The Garmin Forerunner 405 is the new and highly anticipated replacement for the 205 / 305 which proved so popular with runners. The obvious improvement is the size of the watch with the GPS receiver now built into a watch that is a similar size to a 'normal' running watch.
This version of the Forerunner 405 is boxed with just the watch, cradle for connecting to your PC and a charger. But unlike previous versions of Garmin products, it is possible to upgrade to a heart rate monitor with a chest strap at a later date if preferred.
