The Saucony Kinvara is the ultimate and original barefoot running shoe for runners who actually want to wear a shoe but want something truly minimalist. The styling was originally very poor but they quickly address this and now make lovely looking barefoot running shoes.
The Kinvara offers runners a 4mm heel to toe drop and that is a big difference from most running shoes which have between 12-14mm of additional cushioning. You may need time to adjust to that style of shoe but the minimalist construction promotes an efficient forefoot strike and a more natural running style.
