According to the latest research carried out by Shock Absorber, some 9.5 million women in the UK are not using sports bras for running, thus not supporting their breasts properly. Could you be one of them? If you are then once you realise what might happen if you don’t might convince you make a purchase…
When exercising your breasts move around a lot and with the average breast weighing 250-300g this can easily cause the ligaments around the breasts to stretch and tear without the correct support. This sort of damage is irreversible and can eventually cause sagging of the breast.
The sports bra I personally go for when running is the Shock Absorber Run Bra, purely because it is so comfortable. It has a seamless inner; this reduces the chaffing and rubbing that I use to get with other bras. This bra also has a quick drying moisture-wicking chest band which reduces the sweat build up, on some part of the bra it is also made from a breathable mesh fabric which keeps the body cool.
