The Asics Gel Kayano 18 represents the pinnacle of stability, cushioning and high performance technology all brought together in one fantastic running shoe. At only 325g it is a fantastic weight for such a cushioned and supportive shoe. Asics’ Duomax Support System is positioned in the mid sole to offer support to moderate overpronators. Meanwhile the Impact Guidance System works to create a more comfortable step and an improved gait. Together this support and guidance works to give the runner a fluid and efficient running style.

For further comfort the Gel Kayano 18 includes both rear foot and fore foot gel cushioning to dampen the impact of the foot hitting the ground and reduce wear and tear on the body. The Biomorphic Fit Upper material which works with the movement of your foot whilst running to reduce the risk of blistering an irritation. Never before has a foot been so protected from the knocks and shocks inherent in running.

I.G.S. (Impact Guidance System) ASICS design means the individual components of the shoe work together to give a more comfortable feel an improved gait.

Rear-foot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning Systems The Silicone based material placed in the pressure zones of the sole dampens shock.

Comfort Sock liner Insole placed inside the shoe providing cushioning as well as keeping the foot dryer and cooler

Full Length Guidance Line Vertical flex groove in the sole running from heel to toe which encourages a more efficient running style.

Solyte Midsole Material This spongy layer between the sole and upper is designed to absorb shock and provide cushioning for the foot. This material is lighter and more durable then EVA.

Dynamic DuoMax Support System The Dual density material is positioned to support the foot and provide stability.

Discrete Eyelets These independently placed eyelets disburse lace tension improving the fit and reducing the risk of possible irritationAsymmetrical Lacing Design This lacing follows the natural curve of the foot giving a better fit and putting less pressure on the metatarsal bones.

P.H.F. (Personal Heel Fit) Memory foam lining the heel collar and tongue creates a personal fit around the ankle.

Biomorphic Fit Upper The upper is made from a stretchy material that has been strategically placed so it reduces bunching when the foot is moving and associated rubbing.

Heel Clutching System A lightweight heel counter on the outside of the upper provides improved support and fitting around the heel.
